Vintage Norwegian design coffee/salt box/cellar with a teak lid, circa 1970s. Decorated with a traditional Norwegian rosemaling (rose painting) pattern, and signed by the artist/designer beneath the design. Designed to be hung up, the decoration blends traditional patterns with mid-century modern colors.

Designed by famous rosemaling artist Torstein Ronjom (1908-69).

The Norwegian rosemaling pattern is a classic Scandinavian folk art style from Telemark, Norway, combined with modern colors that give it a fresh and updated feel.

Signed by artist down to the right side: "T. Ronjom"

In very good condition, minor age-related traces!

Natural wooden/teak lid; the teak wood texture may have minor differences between the two pieces.
