Rare 1960s Norwegian Nordic pattern Cup, Saucer & Plate Nordisk folk art, Collectible

A rare set of Porsgrund coffee/tea/breakfast set/brunch set with traditional Norwegian Nordic pattern. A good combination of different colors. The decoration shows traditional Norwegian living style and folk art of wedding procession.

The cup was decorated with red, green, yellow and black,and traditional flower as well as a lion in the bottom. Around the inside of cup, its texted "Spila naa dyglig / Brudgom / hjelp nu kvinden nu ligger hun her Breyfu /Bruden / Mor, see vor de rider / Kirken . Noreg". The same cup is in collection of Telemark Museum.

The saucer was decorated with flower.

The plate was texted : "Spila naa dyglig/ Her ligger kiøstol fuld som et svin / Brudgom / hjelp nu kvinden nu ligger hun her Breyfu /Bruden / kieyg dig kiel du er fuld / Nu ser vi vor længe vi har til lørdag, hey frimodig! siger denne kvinde/ see Bersven og Ravne Bruseland hey Brendevin/Mor, see vor de rider./Kirken "

The production of the set was from 1964.

The origin of this pattern is based on the style of Norwegian rosemaling & rose painting and Norwegian folk art. A good example of Norwegian country style.

The set is in very good condition.

Saucer : Diameter 13.5cm;
Plate: Diameter 16.8cm.
