A rare and unique piece from Porsgrund, Norway - a beautiful porcelain plate with a stunning hand-decorated pattern of rosemaling or rose painting. This plate is a one-of-a-kind item, made in 1954 and stamped with the year and PP. The design is accentuated by the use of 24k gold on the edge, adding a touch of elegance and luxury to the piece.
The techniques used in making this plate are high-temperature biscuiting, overglazed hand-painting and porcelain low-temperature glaze firing, making it a truly remarkable work of art. The Norwegian rosemaling pattern is a classic Scandinavian folk art style, combined with modern colors that give it a fresh and updated feel.
