A rare and authentic piece of Norwegian handcrafted wooden ale/beer bowl / trau / tray, Wood Trough With Spout from the middle part of the 20th century.
This well made quality piece is a nice adding for any collector of Norwegian or Scandinavian folk art, with its hand-carved masterpiece that exudes farmhouse and country charm. The Vintage bowl has been carefully preserved over time, cabin/farmhouse style.
In ancient Norway, this kind of bowl is a vessel that is primarily used for serving beer, but there is also information that trøys were used for milk.
