Rare collectible wall haning / centerpiece / table decor / Christmas serving plate in Glazed Porcelain with handpainted / hand painted Nordic / Nordisk pattern. A rare norsk heritage collectible semi-antique plate from Porsgrund Porcelain.

Handpainted nordic pattern decoration with 24k real gold gilt trim. Text" Hilsen fra Porsgrunn" --"Greeting from Porsgrunn". Signed under with initials of artist. The plates are from 1954. The techniques are high-temperature biscuiting, overglazed hand-painting and porcelain low-temperature glaze firing.

The origin of the nordic pattern was influenced by the style of Norwegian rosemaling / rose painting and Norwegian folk art.

Whether it's a RUSTIC cabin, farmhouse, or country-style ambiance, or even as a nice adding in a contemporary home, this plate effortlessly fits in with its surroundings.
